Matilda Bjärum

Dancer at Skånes Dansteater since 2023.

Matilda is born and raised in Skåne. She has a Bachelor's Degree in dance from Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK) and a Master's Degree in Performance from London Contemporary Dance School (UK).

During her time working with Scottish Dance Theatre she met choreographers such as Emanuel Gat, Janine Harrington, Colette Sadler and 7oito. Matilda has also danced with various project based comapnies such as Bobbi Lo Produktion, Alexandra Pirici, Ongoing Realities and Gabriella Engdahl.

Alongside her work as a dancer, she has also created her own choreographies and productions, exploring among other things gaming structures and playfulness and how they can influence and inspire movement and creativity. Matilda has also shared her knowledge as a guest teacher at schools and within the freelance sector.

During the 2023/2024 season she will perform in 'Mozart's Requiem' by Örjan Andersson and 'Indigo Flamingo' by Gwyn Emberton.
