DancePod #16: Tilman O'Donnell

Tilman O’Donnell, choreographer and dancer, introduces you and host Kit Brown to his new work The View From Here. The piece presents us with a community of eight dancers entangled with and defining procedures of change – corporeal, spatial, and temporal.

The episode is an in-depth conversation about the inseparable nature of what dancers do in the dance studio and what they eventually perform on stage. About trying to find a sweet spot between structure and freedom, and the basic aim to pay attention and resist one’s assumptions.

The View From Here world premiered with a live-streamed performance 5 March 2021 and was perfromed for limited audiences in autumn 2021.
